TRI-UMPH TRIATHLON

The Tri-Umph Triathlon started a few years ago as a fun way for a few families to stay connected and fit at the same time. Last year we decided to open it up for the community in the town of Gorrie. The town was extremely welcoming and the competitors were so appreciative that we are excited to do it all over again. Please come and you join us. If you have any questions, contact us by chat or through the contact form.

Fight the good fight, finish the course, keep the faith. 2Tim4.7

The race will start in the pool in waves. The waves will likely have 6-8 people in them at a time. The pool only has 4 lanes so as a result the lanes will often have more than one person in them. The starter will get the participants in the pool and then will count down to the time of the start. This is when the timer starts. There will only be an overall time not individual times for the events. Once the race has started the participant will complete the distance for their age group in the pool and run to the transition zone where their bike, helmet, running shoes and shirt with the race bib pinned on it (we will provide the bib and pins) will be laid out ready.  This is done prior to the race. If there is anything else, they wish to put on such as shorts they will be ready in the transition area as well. There will be volunteers in the transition zone to assist children in getting their bikes off the bike rack and ensuring helmets are clipped on. Taking their bike, athletes then run it to the “On bike” line situated close to the transition zone and from there they will do their bike leg of the race. After this they will get off their bike at the “Off bike” line. Volunteers will take their bikes for them and then the racer will continue to the run portion. After the distance is completed, they will cross the finish line and receive a medal. Race maps will be posted on the site with a race guide closer to race date. There will be lap counters for the swim the bike and the run.
